Energy service and field service companies
Business consulting for energy service companies.
Energy service work happens in the field, and getting paid depends on paperwork. Field tickets come back late or hard to read, invoices wait on approvals, safety and compliance records pile up, and dispatch runs on phone calls. We work out where your company loses the most time and money, then build the systems that fix it and stay on to support them. We meet in person across northwest Houston, and by video call anywhere else.

Where it hurts today
Where do energy service companies lose time and money?
Between the field and the office: paper field tickets, invoices held up by missing approvals, crews and equipment scheduled by phone, and safety and compliance records kept by hand. The work gets done. Getting paid for it takes too long.
Field tickets that come back late
Paper tickets ride in a truck for days, arrive hard to read, and hold up the invoice.
Invoices waiting on approvals
Customer portals, sign-offs and missing codes delay payment on work that is already done.
Crews and equipment scheduled by phone
Who goes where, with which equipment, gets sorted out in calls and texts, and changes get missed.
Safety and compliance records by hand
Inspections, certifications and training records live in binders and spreadsheets, and an audit means a scramble.
Equipment service tracked loosely
Service dates and repairs are tracked from memory, so problems show up at the worst time.
Bids and quotes that stall
Quotes go out and wait, with no follow-up until someone remembers.

What we can build
What can a consultant build for an energy service company?
Systems that connect the field to the office: digital field tickets, invoicing that starts when a ticket is approved, one schedule for crews and equipment, and reminders for inspections, certifications and service dates. Anything safety critical stays with your people, and we build around the software you already use where it allows.
Field tickets done on the phone
Tickets completed and signed on site, with photos, and sent to the office the same day.
Invoices out as soon as work is approved
Billing that starts from the approved ticket, with the codes and backup your customers ask for, and reminders on anything unpaid.
Crews and equipment in one schedule
One shared view of who is where and with what, with changes sent to the crew right away.
Certifications and inspections on time
Reminders before training, licenses and inspections expire, and records kept in one place for audits.
Equipment service tracked
Service dates and repair history for each unit, with a heads-up before maintenance is due.
Every quote followed up
A follow-up on each open bid or quote until the customer decides.
How an engagement works
How does working with us work?
Three steps, in order: Find, Prove, Scale. It starts with a short conversation, and each package has a fixed scope and price agreed in writing before any work starts. You own what we build for you once it is paid for.
1. Find
We follow a job from call-out to paid invoice, in the field and in the office, and give you a written list of what costs you the most, in the order to fix it.
2. Prove
We set up one fix, such as digital field tickets, and measure it on your own numbers for a few weeks. You only go further if it earns it.
3. Scale
What works is rolled out across the business, connected to the tools you already use, and your team is shown how to run it. Monthly Support keeps it working after that.

Common questions
Questions energy service owners ask us.
How much does a business consultant cost for an oilfield service company?
There is no single price, because it depends on the scope. After a short conversation you get a written quote with a fixed scope and price for your company, and nothing starts until you agree to it. Most start small, with a Readiness Assessment or a Pilot Project on one problem, so the first step is a modest one.
Can our field crews use this without a lot of training?
Yes, that is the goal. Field steps are kept to a few taps on the phone they already carry, and we show the crew how it works. Before choosing a tool, we check it can save work where the signal is weak and send it later.
Will it work with our software and our customers' billing portals?
Often, yes, for your own software. Customer billing portals are more limited, and some do not allow any connection. We check what each one allows before promising anything, and where a portal is closed we make the upload step as quick as we can.
Do you work on safety critical systems?
No. We work on the business side: tickets, scheduling, billing, records and reminders. Safety decisions and equipment control stay with your people and your existing safety programs.
Do you work with large utilities?
Our work fits established small and mid-sized companies best, such as service contractors and suppliers. If you are a larger organization, tell us what you need and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right fit.

A short conversation is enough to see which fix is worth doing first. You get a straight answer from the person who would build it, and a written quote before anything starts.
