Carriers, 3PLs, brokers and distributors

Business consulting for logistics and distribution companies.

Logistics runs on paperwork and phone calls. Rate requests wait in an inbox, bills of lading get retyped, customers call to ask where their load is, and invoices wait on proof of delivery. We work out where your operation loses the most time and money, then build the systems that fix it and stay on to support them. We meet in person across northwest Houston, and by video call anywhere else.

Who is this for?

Where it hurts today

Where do logistics companies lose time and money?

In the office work that moves with every load: quotes that go out slowly, documents keyed in by hand, status calls, and invoices held up by missing paperwork. Margins are thin, so every lost hour and every late payment shows.

  • Rate quotes that go out late

Quote requests arrive by email and phone. The slow ones lose the load, and the ones with no follow-up lose the customer.

  • Documents keyed in by hand

Bills of lading, delivery receipts and carrier invoices get retyped into your system, one page at a time.

  • Where is my shipment? calls

Customers call for status because they cannot see it themselves, and the answer means checking three places.

  • Invoices waiting on paperwork

A load is delivered, but the invoice waits for proof of delivery, and then payment waits some more.

  • Dispatch in one person's head

Who is where and what is next lives with one dispatcher, a whiteboard and a lot of calls.

  • Exceptions handled from memory

Delays, damage and missed appointments get handled one at a time, and the lessons are lost.

What we can build

What can a consultant build for a logistics company?

Systems that take the office load off each shipment: faster quotes with follow-up, document entry without retyping, status updates customers can get for themselves, billing that goes out on delivery, and one view of dispatch. We build around your TMS or WMS where it allows a connection.

  • Quotes out faster, and followed up

A quoting template on your own lanes and rates, with a follow-up on every open quote.

  • Documents read and entered for you

Details from bills of lading, receipts and carrier invoices entered where possible, with a person checking anything that touches money.

  • Status without the phone calls

Customers get status updates at the key steps, so fewer people call to ask.

  • Invoices out on delivery

Billing that starts when proof of delivery arrives, with reminders on unpaid invoices and an easy way to pay.

  • One view of dispatch

A shared board of loads, drivers and next steps, so dispatch is not stuck in one person's head.

  • Exceptions logged and followed up

Delays and damage claims tracked in one list, with the next step and who owns it.

How an engagement works

How does working with us work?

Three steps, in order: Find, Prove, Scale. It starts with a short conversation, and each package has a fixed scope and price agreed in writing before any work starts. You own what we build for you once it is paid for.

  1. 1. Find

We follow a load from quote request to paid invoice and give you a written list of what costs you the most, in the order to fix it.

  2. 2. Prove

We set up one fix, such as document entry or status updates, and measure it on your own numbers for a few weeks. You only go further if it earns it.

  3. 3. Scale

What works is rolled out across the business, connected to the tools you already use, and your team is shown how to run it. Monthly Support keeps it working after that.

Common questions

Questions logistics owners ask us.

How much does a logistics consultant cost for a small carrier or 3PL?

There is no single price, because it depends on the scope. After a short conversation you get a written quote with a fixed scope and price for your operation, and nothing starts until you agree to it. Most start small, with a Readiness Assessment or a Pilot Project on one problem, so the first step is a modest one.

Will this work with our TMS or WMS?

Often, yes. Many transportation and warehouse management systems let other tools connect, but not all of them do, and not in the same way. We check what yours allows before promising anything. If it cannot connect, we tell you and suggest the simplest workaround.

Can customers track shipments without calling us?

Often, yes. If your systems hold the status, we can send updates at key steps or give customers a simple way to check. How much is possible depends on what your systems allow, and we check that first.

Do we have to change how our drivers work?

As little as possible. Most of the work is in the office. Where drivers are involved, such as sending a photo of a signed delivery receipt, we keep it to a tap on the phone they already carry.

Do you work with logistics companies outside Houston?

Yes. We meet in person across northwest Houston, and by video call anywhere else. Most of the building happens remotely.

A short conversation is enough to see which fix is worth doing first. You get a straight answer from the person who would build it, and a written quote before anything starts.
