Law, accounting, consulting and agency firms

Business consulting for law, accounting and agency firms.

In a professional services firm, what you sell is your people's time. Yet much of that time goes to intake calls, chasing documents, writing proposals and chasing unpaid invoices. We work out where your firm loses the most hours and money, then build the systems that fix it and stay on to support them. We meet in person across northwest Houston, and by video call anywhere else.

Where it hurts today

Where do professional services firms lose time and money?

Mostly in the work around the work: new inquiries that wait for a reply, client documents chased by email, proposals nobody follows up, and invoices that go out late and get paid later. Each one is small. Together they eat the hours you meant to bill.

  • Slow replies to new inquiries

A prospect who waits for a call back often hires the firm that answered first, and nobody ever knows the lead was lost.

  • Chasing clients for documents

Tax papers, signed forms and files arrive in pieces by email, and someone has to keep track of what is still missing.

  • Proposals that stall

A proposal or engagement letter goes out, then nothing. Without a follow-up, good work sits in someone's inbox.

  • Billing late and collecting later

Time gets entered at the end of the month, invoices go out late, and someone has to chase the ones that are not paid.

  • Senior people doing admin

Partners and managers spend hours on scheduling, status updates and data entry that a simple system could handle.

  • Know-how stuck in a few heads

Templates, past work and the way things are done live with a few people, so new staff take a long time to get up to speed.

What we can build

What can a consultant build for a professional services firm?

Systems that handle the admin around client work: intake, document collection, proposal follow-up, billing and collections, and simple reporting. We start with the one that costs your firm the most and build it around the practice software you already use where it allows.

  • Every inquiry answered and screened

New calls and web inquiries get a fast reply, a few screening questions and a booked consultation, so good prospects are not lost to a slow call back.

  • Documents collected without the chasing

A secure checklist for each client that shows what is still missing and sends polite reminders until it is complete.

  • Proposals that get a decision

Proposals and engagement letters built from your own templates, with follow-ups until the client says yes or no.

  • Invoices out on time, and paid

Billing from the time and fees you already track, reminders on a schedule, and an easy way for clients to pay online.

  • Client questions handled faster

Answers to common questions about status, deadlines and next steps, in wording you approve, with anything that needs judgment passed to a person.

  • One plain weekly view

Work in progress, unbilled time and unpaid invoices in one simple report, instead of three spreadsheets.

How an engagement works

How does working with us work?

Three steps, in order: Find, Prove, Scale. It starts with a short conversation, and each package has a fixed scope and price agreed in writing before any work starts. You own what we build for you once it is paid for.

  1. 1. Find

We look at how a client moves through your firm, from first call to paid invoice, and give you a written list of where hours and money slip away, in the order worth fixing.

  2. 2. Prove

We set up one fix, such as document collection or invoice reminders, and measure it on your own numbers for a few weeks. You only go further if it earns it.

  3. 3. Scale

What works is rolled out across the business, connected to the tools you already use, and your team is shown how to run it. Monthly Support keeps it working after that.

Common questions

Questions firm owners ask us.

How much does a business consultant cost for a small law or accounting firm?

There is no single price, because it depends on the scope. After a short conversation you get a written quote with a fixed scope and price for your firm, and nothing starts until you agree to it. Most start small, with a Readiness Assessment or a Pilot Project on one problem, so the first step is a modest one.

Will this work with our practice management or accounting software?

Often, yes. Many practice management, billing and accounting systems let other tools connect, but not all of them do, and not in the same way. We check what yours allows before promising anything. If it cannot connect, we tell you and suggest the simplest workaround.

How do you handle client confidentiality?

Client information stays in your own systems wherever possible, and each step collects only what it needs. We use tools with proper access controls and keep sensitive files out of tools that should not hold them. Your professional duties, such as privilege and privacy rules, stay yours to confirm with your own advisor.

Will AI be giving advice to clients of our firm?

No. Advice and judgment stay with your people. Where AI helps, it is with the admin around the work, such as sorting inquiries or drafting a first reply for a person to check.

Do you meet in person?

Yes. We meet in person across northwest Houston, and by video call anywhere else. Most of the building happens remotely, around your hours.

A short conversation is enough to see which fix is worth doing first. You get a straight answer from the person who would build it, and a written quote before anything starts.
